Hello All, A big thanks to all you who gave me suggestions to view the boot log.
From just after log in my favorite method of accessing and scrolling through the boot log is to use Shift + page up and Shift + page down. However, if I have already typed in "startx" and thus gotten into xwindow and especially if I have done a few things in Xwindow such as reading my email, then I find the suggestion to use "dmesg | less" to get to and to scroll through my boot log the most useful, because when I go back to the console and do a shift + page up and shift + page down, I can only access the most recent parts of the boot log, ie, what I did after going back to the console. So just after my log in but before I type "startx" I can look at my boot log by hitting Shift + page up and Shift + page down. But otherwise I would use "dmesg | less". Thanks again for all the help.
