Greetings all, I've got a little remote desktop sharing problem that I'm hoping somebody can help with.
I've setup a SuSE 9.1 machine and managed to get kde's desktop sharing to work properly when the machine was connected to a monitor while logged into a kde session. Since then, we've taken the monitor away and hid the machine deep in the back of the server room. Now the problem is that I cannot access the remote desktop with the VNCViewer. While troubleshooting I logged into the machine and exported the display to my local machine (Cygwin/X), I ran krfb &, modified the settings to my likings. Shortly after applying these settings, I'm left with the following error: "Your X11 Server does not support the required XTest extension version 2.2. Sharing your desktop is not possible." I'm guessing this is because I'm running krfb as a stand-alone application as opposed to running within a full kde session. Any ideas? cS _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
