Not exactly the same thing but i saw a report where they tried to corrupt the 
data on several different kinds of memory cards, CF, SD, Xd memory stick etc.
They boiled them, froze them, drove a car over them, even gave them to 6 year 
olds! eventually after no data loss they nailed them to a tree! that rendered 3 
out of 6 useless but 3 had data that was useable.

in short, I dont think its anything to worry about.
