What desktop environment are you using. I m not familiar with Unbutu,
so I don't know if it uses KDE; GNOME; WindowMaker; SawFish, or a
combination of all the above....
If you're using KDE 3.4 it uses the same mechanism as Windows:
Right-CLick on the Desktop and follow the menu instructions...If that
fails, you can always drag and drop the folder on the desktop...
