Hi All, I know a guy who purports to have GMail working (fully working in 'standard' mode, not the crappy html mode) in Konqueror by using a few simple steps. He's got screenshots and all.
Problem is, I can't replicate his success even though I'm following the same steps and we're running the same version of browser (KDE and Konq 3.4.2). It doesn't work on either my Kanotix or Kubuntu box. If anyone out there has a GMail account and a minute or so of time, would you mind trying it out? I'm really curious whether there's something missing in my setup, or if there's just magic somewhere in his. Here's the steps: 1. Instead of going to the normal GMail URI, go to to this one: http://mail.google.com/mail/?nocheckbrowser 2. Then select Tools -> Change Browser Identification -> Other -> Firefox 1.0 Oh, and while I'm on the topic, if anyone wants a Gmail invite, I have lots. Thanks!
