It can, it needs to also be compiled into your kernel (I would be surprised if most distros didn't already do this). It also does not work nearly as well as samba (cifs) over wireless. I still don't understand the love affair the *nix crowd has for nfs. It certainly has its place, though the majority of file serving applications that I have seen are better served by other packages (usually cifs). shfs is nice and easy, but not the most stable. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDTqobwRXgH3rKGfMRArvzAJ4ywRViMoENREvlzC8tXVugqFOH5wCffK1e 177VFCGd/Bm/Ei1D6dMYXQ4= =e1Ra -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
