Hi all:

The hoarde package provides webmail access to an email server. According to
people that I have talked to (Shawn), its a bit of a bear to set up.

Of course this needs to be matched with an email server. To provide the most
fully functional system it should be matched with a system that offers a
Microsoft Exchange replacement. There are several free candidates, but the
one I am proposing is Kolab.

What I am proposing is to have a saturday workshop where 20-25 participants
would learn how to install, configure and secure these packages on their own
system. Also if there's a need, I was thinking of having follow up sessions
where participants in the workshop can support each other in installing and
configuring these systems.

When I try to learn this type of thing myself, I set aside 3-4 hours on a
saturday if I don't get finished then I give up until the next time that I
get a burst of energy. Having a workshop would be a place where I could get
this one done!

Who is interested in such a workshop? I'd like to hear from you!

P.S. the reason that I chose Kolab is that Shawn says it is easy to and we
could get that out of the way and concentrate on the webmail part of the
project.
