You only need 2 NICs for Green and Red, assuming you have an RJ45 connection to the outside world. If you want to run a webserver, mailserver or something else that needs to be somewhat exposed to the outside, then another NIc for Orange. If you want to run a wireless of it then another NIC for Blue. You don't HAVE to use Orange and Blue. You can run 10bit without a problem unless you have a VERY fast internet connection and you can run ISA cards but PCI are easier to set up. Its useful to have all different cards but you can get by with the same ones with a little bit of playing.
