Thanks, I was actually over there on Fri last week.  They had a 
replacement battery for the Toshiba for about 200.  I found that you can 
not rebuild lithium ion batteries as there are no replacements 
available, however you can replace them with an equivalent nickel 
hydride though the capacity will not be as good.

I am going to search for some batteries (both nickel hydride and lithium 
ion - want to confirm that you can't get them) with solder tabs and give 
it a spin myself.  (Have to justify owning a soldering station.)
