Hi All.
I am holding an LPIC prep course at the U of C on January 28. from 9 to 5.
There is the usual discount for CLUG members and the price is 195 ... 175.50
for clug members. We will also be working with a new textbook to do the exam
cram.
"BTW, if a CLUG member wants that discount, they have to register by phone,
and indicate they are a CLUG member at that time. There's no way to handle
this with the online registrations." By Shawn.
And here is the info about the book following your questions at the meeting:
Exam Cram 2
Exam 101
Exam 102
LPIC1
By Ross Brunson
ISBN# 07897 31274
Price: $57.99 CAD
Note: if you can get it from a shop that has a CLUG discount, Than do
so.
The U of C is working on the details, I dont know what their price will
be
from the University bookshop, since they will get the book for a
different
price than the one i posted here.
Your other question regarding the LPI (Linux Professional Institute Exam ..
Certification) Is the Other widely accepted Certificate in the Linux and
open source world, the other one being RHCE (Redhat Certified Eng.) The
difference being that LPI is not Distro Specific. The applicability is, in my
oppinion, is a lot wider than with the Redhat Certificate.
