Hi Mark, On the low end I am useing an Abit KV80 754 pin AMD-64 3000+ with a Gig of ram and SATA's, Debian Sarge AMD-64. The board is $74.99 at OEM Depot. The board has run flawlessly 24-7 for the last 8 months. Debian/Sarge supports all onboard hardware right out of the can. The Semprons are the only chip available on 754 pin now but don't worry about it just try'em they are cheap like borsch and go like stink! A 3000+ 64 Sempy is $95.99, GigO cheap ram $80.00.

They are a major pain in the A$$ as they are poorly supported by the kernel and require some ugly kernel hacks just to get them working and poorly at that. I'm sure in a few months they will likely be better but for now they're crapola.
