I've been using FC5 since it was released. So far it has worked great.
The only issue still outstanding is the ATI drivers. I'm using the livna
testing drivers which works fine for tv-out. However, if I play a game,
the system will crash when I exit out of it. I could not get the newly
released ATI drivers to install, so I'd hold off if you have an ATI card
and need to do 3-D. Other than that, I'm running the X86-64 version
without any problems. There are lots of packages out for FC5 now, so it
shouldn't be a problem to get your favourite app. up and running. As
always you'll have to install packages to get mp3 support, etc. The
latest version of Gnome is really sweet, and it's easy to get KDE
installed as well. I also like the fact that they now have a GUI
interface for YUM which Fedora was lacking for a long time. However, the
one that ships with FC5 is quite unstable, so I'd install yumex for that
purpose.

Good luck,

Jesse
