This was brought up at the last CLUG meeting. For anyone upgrading to the newer version of KDE, an additional google search appears in the tool bar within konqueror.
These are controlled from the configure extensions menu. Go to: Settings >> Configure Extensions This will pop up a configuration box from which you can specifically uncheck which extensions you do not wish to have. There are some other settings in there as well.
