I don't use Debian as a workstation anymore :) Debian does not use DMA on disks by default, which, although stable, is really slow. I have not personally used the 915 patch, but I would give it a go. If the tarball is a native driver I would use it over ndiswrapper. Is there an updated bios for the laptop? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEYTF2wRXgH3rKGfMRAjcAAKCYYOefEamk7s/nsaj53nAuWP1kxACeOAYf 1pLF4lD1rFDNKx3s+YHY+r0= =jFgj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
