Hi All,

I tend to agree with Gustin on this. We'd like to let this thread run it's
course for a bit until things solidify and there are some definite "terms of
reference" for lack of a better term. As Shawn mentioned, there are a few
that are interested in this thing now and I suspect that this number will
increase as the discussion continues.

I'd suggest that the dialogue continue on the clug-talk, IRC etc, for now
until things become a bit more defined. At that time we can see if another
email list is warranted.

My main concern is that this might dilute the content on the clug-talk list
where much of what I see being discussed might be moved over to another
list. Clug-talk's intent is to be a place for general interest issues AND
technical issues. Specifically where list members can seek and offer support
on applicable issues.

Those not interested in the topic can, for now, always create a rule and
toss the unwanted emails in the bit bucket.

Personally speaking, I too am interested in this idea and would certainly be
willing to participate.

Cheers,

Either works for me.

For my 2 cents, I am not sure that there is the critical mass as yet to
warrant a separate list.

On the other hand, I am very interested in accounting (specifically SQL
ledger, I purchased the support even though my book keeper is using a
proprietary product on another OS... I would like to move off of that
platform). Phone/fax systems, hiring/staff/management issues,
billing/accounting/budgeting, business ethics, marketing, there is
really no end of potential topics.

I guess what I am saying is that I like the idea of a business
orientated group that covers topics that are not necessarily technical
in nature (even though the technical side is usually more fun).

Whichever way we decide to meet, count me in as a participant and where
possible, as a supporter.

Cheers,
