A web front end would be optimal. This organization purchased a CMS system for their intranet. Most of the managers were under the impression that it had more groupware functionality. One of the features they thought it would have was version control, which it does not. Instead of implementing all of the features that they are looking for in seperate tools, and then having to deploy and retrain, I would rather embed a web application into the existing intranet package.
