Not sure if it helps, but I noticed that a lot of CLUG posts get filtered into my junk mail (gmail) and I would never see it if it wasn't flagged for me.

I too run a mailing list via Google Groups. I find that people with Hotmail addresses bounce like a rubber ball :(
