The Calgary Unix Users Group (CUUG)  is hosting  a special OpenBSD presentation on Thursday, June 1, 6PM in Heritage Hall on the SAIT campus.

This presentation is made possible due to the 2006 OpenBSD Hackathon taking place from May 26th to June 2nd here in Calgary, attended by developers from around the world. This year again, some of the developers have agreed to take some time for a presentation to CUUG members and guests and anyone interested in the most secure Unix OS on the planet.

Bob Beck and Reyk Floeter will talk about some of the directions they have been taking in wireless chipset support, advanced feature support, and security support as well as what they are doing to try to ensure they have good wireless chip support without having to incorporate "binary blobs" from vendors.

OpenBSD 3.9 CDs as well as T-shirts and posters will be available.

See the CUUG web site www.cuug.ab.ca for further details.

Greg King
