Yes, Telus does require a MAC address...... so why not register the device
MAC address and as a safety measure the MAC of the most important system
(assuming home based network here). That way, if the router/Appliance calves
you can still get on and do the important stuff.

telus requires your MAC address.  So do lots of ISPs, its why most
consumer routers have a MAC clone feature.
