Should not be run directly.

Does squid need to be running?  It likely should not be running unless
one knows how to configure and lock it down.

Not really related to cups either.

Basically to run these scripts you look in /etc/init.d/

So for me
/etc/init.d/cupsys restart
is how I restart the cups service.

cat /var/log/cups/error_log
to see the details of any errors.
