There seems to be a trend on the 'net to use flash for streaming video
(while in the past it seemed like many sites used java players). Sites
such as Amazon.com and youtube.com all use flash exclusively. My problem
is that I always have A/V sync. problems with flash videos. I'm not sure
if this problem is specific to Linux, but I also notice that many sites
require Flash 8 (such as http://www.fido.ca/chat/) which is not yet
available for Linux. Everything I've read says that Adobe will release
flash 8.5 for Linux, but I have no idea when that is supposed to be
released. Does anyone else have similar issues, or have any information
on when flash 8.5 will be released. I really don't want to have to start
using Wine for flash.

Thanks,

Jesse
