This is *really* annoying. One time I ran "synaptic" from my runbox and it said I needed to be root right. No matter, I closed out - went to it through the menu .. that way it asks me for the password.
But now, everytime I login, I get that message "You must run this program as root" and its from Synaptic. I've tried setting the "Start with a new session" option and then relogging and changing it back, with no effect. It still comes up everytime I login.
Can anyone help?
