Thanks everyone! I tried using easyubuntu twice and it dind't help. I did a "sudo apt-get install libdvdread3" and was told that I have the most up-to-date version.
VLC didn't play it either. I installed gxine and it works great. So now I have Totem, VLC, a gxine. Oh well! ~Mike On Sat, 2006-10-06 at 12:55 -0600, Shawn wrote: > Mike Bougie wrote: > > Ok, I've just installed 6.06 on my PPC iBook G4, and it won't play > > DVD's. > > > > I've installed the codec "libdvdcss" via easyubuntu. > > > > When I insert a DVD, Totem starts, I hear the disc spin up, but then > > nothing happens.
