No joy on ldd:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bin/google-earth$ ldd googleearth
         not a dynamic executable
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bin/google-earth$ cd ..
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bin$ ldd googleearth
         not a dynamic executable

Maybe I should try to run the install script again, and leave the defaults?
