Yes, I hope that we can start building the membership and get a few more
nodes going (my living room has excellent coverage but that's about the
extent of the mesh at present).

I have some ideas about promoting the mesh itself, once we get a few
more members - specifically some web people - we can present a more
professional image.

I would like in the end to be able to present a splash screen the to
Guests, when they first connect so they are fully aware of what 'CalgaryMesh'
is and hopefully that would recruit some more bodies.

So the next jobs are as few more nodes, and a lot of 'marketing'
materials. Maybe a 'hack it together' workshop can be arranged sometime
in the fall.

Simon.

PS. What we really need is a simple JavaScript (??) application to code
the MAC address into the IP for Member and Basestation nodes. - Any
takers?

I'd seen that, some how I doubt a bunch of Free Software 'Hippies' would
have much luch getting some money. There was mention of some Community
Wireless down in the Crowsnest Pass, but I don't think it came to much.

Maybe I convice a few people to set up 'CNP-Mesh' nodes :-)

Simon
