At the simple end it is easy to implement DAV and iCal, however DAV does not have a very good ACL model (basically a user gets read and write or nothing at all). I always though Kolab made sense as a specialized Distrto variant, similar to the DeMudi project (a stock Debian Distro that preconfigures the system for low latency audio work). I understand the desire to keep it distro agnostic but I am not , Another option Shawn, is Open Exchange. It can be installed into a stock Ubuntu environment. There is a decent how-to in one of the Linux mags this month (one of the UK ones, Linux Format I believe). > btw.. don't know if anyone caught it, but there's now a Qt4 GUI configuration > app for kolab as well. > Thanks for the tip Aaron. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFE1i2lwRXgH3rKGfMRAjbBAKCgTnJmR2hhU7aHTgBep669/izKFACgjZcC 8Z6N1tS0Z3HI0O0y5uCPd0U= =WBPC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
