I was sure that I had heard on LugRadio that AbiWord was making use of
libobby (which is what gobby uses to do it's network collaboration). A
quick google reveals that it's in progress with AbiColab (which uses 
jabber as a transport protocol) not libobby and will be in an upcoming 
version.

They also mention Writly (more of a AbiWord type thing on the web) which
promotes the ability to "Share documents instantly & collaborate 
real-time.". I have not used Writly at all so I don't know how well it 
works.
