Windows has a 255 character limitation in filenames that *includes* the path (this differs from most other modern OSs). Reorganizing your data is probably the solution (ie renaming filenames and directories). As for a work around, I have not found any... other than by changing my OS. There is probably a reason you have not turned up much in google yet. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFE7WB0wRXgH3rKGfMRAsOvAJ9yDNkSAhN4M5eXqHn/gayb0oSu+wCgni/T epgXMKeZZW/Qxw0OPxhCZ9Y= =cd32 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
