Yup, sure was but now I'm trying out MEPIS. Actually, so far so good - me likey. I found the right kernel for SMP under MEPIS. For some reason, I had to install a MEPIS specific kernel: 2.6.15.26.46.1mepis1 from the repos. Strange, but true...
