Ok answering myself.... The GNU GPL page list the license: http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html Note the 'start of license' and 'end of license' markers. The warranty claims (or revokation of) are not in the license, but a seperate piece of text which: asserts copyright offers license disclaims warranty gives contact for copy of license I guess this is important as, for example, I could use GNU Cash to do my tax returns without agreeing to the GPL License. However a software flaw could mean that it computes them wrong and make me liable to a penality charge. If would be very useful (for the developers) to disclaim warranty regardless of whether the 'end user' accepted the terms of the GPL. Cheers, Simon. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
