Over the summer we had 20 new Dell machines, which came with Windows XP Home. We needed them to run Windows XP Pro so that they could connect to our domain, and it turned out that it was cheaper to get the machines from Dell with Home on them, and then buy a volume licence from MS for Pro with our non-profit discount, than it was to buy them from Dell with Pro preloaded. In order to image all the machines, we setup one of them, and created an image of the partition using partimage. We then modified a SlaX CD to delete the original 3 partitions on the machines, grab our image off a SMB share, and restore the image to the machine. So yes, in spite of the experimental disclaimer, in my experience NTFS support works flawlessly.
