I would like to ask anyone willing for a little help. The avromuseum.ca website (http://www.avromuseum.ca) is about to go through a re-evaluation process to identify what we need to do differently, and whether this can be done with current tools.
What I'm looking for is constructive comments on how we can make this site better. And to better meet our goals. If you care to comment, please reply to me directly, off-list. The purpose of the site is to "educate the public regarding A.V. Roe Canada, it's projects, and it's people. Also, we want to share information about what historical items/artefacts/records we have collected, and the progress of the Replica project (we are building a piloted Avro Arrow replica). I'm looking for details from a tech perspective, as well as a presentation of data perspective. Can we better organize the site? Can we do something technically to make the site easier to use, and more likely to draw visitors? I have a short list of some of the tech issues, but am not sure about the presentation side of things (I'm too deep in the tech support of the site). In addition, we are having a meeting on Oct 11th to discuss these topics. The meeting is open to the public, if you'd like to attend. If so, let me know off-list and I'll give you the details. Thanks for any assistance.
