I was using Gaim when it happened. The virus started up the genuine MSN client though (no doubt to infect it).
It wasn't a file that was sent, just a plaintext URL that I clicked on :P

Just curious, what app are you using? MSN? Would GAIM have the same tie-in to
the OS? That is, would you still have suffered the infection if using GAIM?

And yes, you need to train your trigger finger not to be so twitchy. :)
