I agree with a lot of what is said here but this situation makes me more nervous than SCO ever did (which it never really did)...MS is not a floundering company looking to survive (yet...haha) and there is dirty pool going on, the only question is what/where. I don't trust MS as far as I could throw the CEO.
It'll be interesting to see if these 'interoperability filters' between Office 07 and ODF ever actually happen, or if MS will drag it's feet like this letter suggests. I have a couple boxed copies of SUSE I'm considering shipping back to Novell to make my opinion known. I'm going to familiarize myself with *ubuntu for my n00b friends that want to give Linux a shot. I have a few others running SUSE that I will be switching sooner rather than later. I think Novell might be underestimating the Linux community. Not too many here have put forth opinions, though I'm sure I know the general feeling I'm interested in people's gut feeling.
