Yes, Midas had to do with touch. King Midas had wish that everything he touch would turn to gold which turned out to be not such a good idea particularly when he turned his own daughter to gold. Medusa turned people to stone if they gazed upon her and her head of snakes. Both characters came from Greek mythology.
