Hello All, I spoke with Mark McNair last night about his role as Chair of the LinuxFest 07 Organizing Committee. Unfortunately, personal circumstances prevent Mark from taking on this role as was originally anticipated. As a result, the Executive is seeking for volunteers for the position of "Chair - LinuxFest 07 Organizing Committee". The duties of the Chair include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Reports directly to the Executive on all matters of the LF07 Committee. B. Chairs all planning meetings and reports back in writing to the Executive. C. Strikes and coordinates the various committees necessary to run LF07. D. Ensures committee members are aware of their duties and provides guidance to the various committees in consult with the Executive where required. E. Delegates tasks as appropriate to ensure the effective and coordinated running of the event. E. Other duties as required. If you are interested or know of someone who might be willing to act as Chair of the LinuxFest 07 Organizing Committee please submit your name to any member of the Executive for review.
