Hi Jon, I have to have a disclaimer that I have not run one of these, but having a 'hardware hacker' mentallity I have read a bit about them.
The NSLU2 has 32MByte ram as standard, but you to supply your own drive (flash or harddrive) - which means a little more space occupied. The are some of the SLUG supported NAS which contain hardrives within the casing. If you're willing to get a soldering iron out you can also add a SD-Card interface to the Linksys routers fairly easily. I thought this would be 'non-commerical' as imaging the piss-taking when you try to install one of these in the data centre :-), the 'wall-wart' would be a bit crap. What services are you attempt to serve with this little machine? Simon. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
