Hi Folks, My recent experience re-installing(again!) Mandriva 2007 Powerpack using the "Install" option, rather than the "Upgrade" option, may be of general interest.
On my first attempt when I got to the stage "Package Group Selection" I clicked on the box "LSB": bad idea! This caused **many** package installations to fail. On my second attempt I avoided my first mistake but when I got to "Package Group Selection" and selected some packages I got the message "There was an error installing packages. idconf-2.4-4mdk.x86_64. Go on anyway?" I tried to go on but was taken back to the beginning of the install. This problem seemed to be caused by my wife and I being simultaneously connected to the internet via a router connected to a cable modem. When she shut down the installation went ok.
