Do any of you have experiences working with any established website/web
portal developers here in Calgary?
I'm looking for an organization that would be able to develop a large,
scalable site with the following features, to start:
Online sales, blogs, streaming video, user forums and discussion areas,
online documentation storage with ability to check out documents and track
changes, online audio playback, podcasts etc. The following is not a
complete list but will give you some ideas.
The site would have three primary areas:
1. Community - open to public
- public ability to submit comments/articles/links
- restricted member space, forums etc
- podcasting, online photo galleries
2. Commercial - online CD/magazine/product sales
- advertising, conference links/bookings
- online membership/subscription & renewal
- incorporation/integration of published, paper, magazine.
3. Corporate - integrated web mail/IM for users
- editorial comments/news/blogs
- document management/storage/retrieval and version tracking
- IM/chat possibilities
