I haven't had a chance to say my goodbyes yet Jon so I will do that now. I know we haven't really spent that much time getting to know each other...other than maybe picking on Shaun or Jessie over beers or gabbing round a meeting table, installfest table or something of that ilk. But from the odd webcast of yours (and I do mean odd as in personality and occasional..LOL), your postings, etc. I come to know you a bit. And form that I am have seen a man with a great passioan not only for FLOSS but for technology in genral. I have seen someone with a real sincere and true love for what he does and takes every opportunity to share that passion and desire with anyone who lends a ear.
I have appreciated your involvement, your leadership (note: leadership does not always have to be an official position :-D) and the things that you have not only contributed to to CLUG, but to the tech community at large. I wish you and your family all the best in your new venture and musch success in your future. I think if there is anyone who could help create/re-create/grow/evolve/etc. a *LUG down in Schooner town it would be you. Be sure to keep us posted on your B&B or whatever else you are doing and don't forget that seeing as your B&B will now be sponsoring CLUG (hint, hint) I expect a discount if I ever visit! LOL! <<just kidding>> All the best! I think their problems largely surronund the geographical challenges of meetings rather than any skill deficiency. Maybe we can hold LUG meetings in our B&B :) Take care and thanks, J ----- Original Message ----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: CLUG General <[email protected]> Sent: Wed Aug 15 23:08:37 2007 Subject: Re: [clug-talk] Farewell! Have a good (and safe) trip. Feel free to drop in on the CLUG lists once in a while... You know we won't shun you.. toooooo much.. :) If the nSlug isn't all that great (I'm sure it is though), maybe you can apply some of your skills there?? It's been a pleasure. CLUG truly is a good LUG. Hopefully the nSlug will be half as decent but I expect a LUG that covers and entire province is going to have its share of problems. > > Anyhow, thanks again and good luck to you all. > > Jon > _______________________________________________ > clug-talk mailing list > [email protected] > http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca > Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) > **Please remove these lines when replying _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
