I should say too, I like Twinkle.  It's a good client.  Kinda square and boxy,
but I want it to make call from, not to be my wall paper, so whatever.  Built
on QT, so it looks good on KDE.

It seems to occasionally hate my mic.  Not sure why.  The mic works, but once
in a while, it doesn't work for Twinkle.  I haven't spent any time figuring out
why yet though...

Subject: [clug-talk] Integrating phones...

Hi all,

I am not sure which way to go on this. I bought a cell phone (Nokia N95) which
is capable of VoIP over 802.11b. I set up Asterisk with a Digium card and
it's working fairly well minus a few minor problems. Basically I can make
local calls from my cell phone via WiFi and not pay air time.

I have a few issues with the phone, namely that there are no wired headsets
available that I like, and bluetooth doesn't get along well with WiFi. Then
there's the fact that my cell phone battery dies very very quickly, possibly
because WiFi and BT are fighting(?)

So, I'm thinking about going for a hardware SIP phone or possibly a bluetooth
adapter on my PC and a soft-phone. If I do the latter I need to know some
good Linux compatible BT adapters and what soft phones people like and why.

If anyone with more experience can offer any insight, I'm all ears.

Thanks,
Nick
