Hi,

I had a Vantec Nexstar and it had "issues". The network code was
flakey, the result was silent data corruption. It was repeatable. I
don't use the Vantec anymore. I was in Europe when I realized it had
issues and it wasn't worth the trouble to return - I ended up eating the
loss.

The USB connection was good though - never had a problem with that.

Oop's, dragging myself back to the actual question: Ummm... I like
Seagates, I had put a 500GB one in the Nexstar and the drive was fine.
It continues to purr along in a different (replacement arrived after I
left) enclosure.

Cheers,
J.J.
