I need to get everyone's final hardware selection so I can get the
full order ready.

With COSSFest and my CLUG talk around the corner, I am going to delay
the workshop a little bit. I'll collect money on Nov. 7 at the
meeting. If you can't make it, let me know so we can arrange something
else (Paypal +2.9%, maybe?) Then I will set a date after I know when
the parts will arrive. Hopefully this doesn't get too close to
Christmas, otherwise we'll be in for some serious scheduling problems.

Since it looks like we're going with the TS-7260, here are the options
and prices:

    * Base price: 64 MB RAM and 32 MB Flash, $195
    * Only 32MB RAM: -$16
    * SD Card socket: $8
    * Real-time clock: $10
    * On-board temp. sensor: $3

Other options:

    * USB 802.11g wireless network interface: $35
    * Alphanumeric 2x24 LCD with backlight and cable: $40 (a bit of a
rip-off... but if you want one and don't know how to wire one up, it'd
be worth it!)
    * Matrix keypad with cable: $28 (even more of a rip-off)
    * 512 MB SD card with full ARM tool chain and Debian installed:
$28 (Actually, not a bad deal)
    * Regulated 5VDC Power Supply: $22 (If you don't have one, get one
from somewhere, 2A at least!)
    * Double-headed null modem cable with DB25F & DB9F at each end: $9
(A good deal, if you don't have one, get one)
    * PC/104 boards: http://www.embeddedarm.com/epc/prod_PER.htm

My order:

    * ($195) 64MB RAM/32MB Flash
    * ($8) SD Card socket
    * ($10) RTC
    * ($3) Temp. sensor
    * ($22) Power supply
    * ($28) SD Card with everything on it
    * Total: US$266

For the eager-beavers, here is some documentation to keep you busy:

Also, you will want to bring a computer with a serial port to the
workshop. Failing that, a USB->Serial adapter will work fine (it's
what I'll be using...)
