Well I know that my workplace promotes OpenOffice.org, but it is more
around being cost saver for the people we are promoting it to.
Essentially we have a very basic almost non-techno crowd that calls in
for support and one of the options they have for submitting information
through file upload.

The template itself is an Excel spreadsheet and when you mention that MS
Office can cost up to $700 they kind of shrivel up. So we recommend
OOo, because it is freely downlaodable or can be purchased from a
distributor for cheap.

But on the subject of it being offered for free....isn't it already free?
