Hi folks, Thanks for your enlightening talks last evening Mark and Mitchell - and for the ipaq pda windfall Simon!
Now I am itching to install Linux - lots of howtos on handhelds.org etc. But the question is battery and power options - 1) Sourcing Compaq's specified power adaptor will take work or $. And to think landfills and recycle bins likely have lots of them. <sigh> With the appropriate soldered connector, would a surplus computer power supply deliver the specified 5vdc and 2A current? 2) Ipaq batteries on ebay run 10 $ and that again from usa suppliers. So does anyone want join in on an order, assuming that will save on shipping? Any and all advice and suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
