So, I've been playing with Gutsy pretty much since it's release. They
have included the Dolphin file manager. My question is why I would want
to use Dolphin when it provides similar functionality as Konqueror?

Before I posted this, I checked and yes, Dolphin CAN use the FISH
protocol to browse remote SSH systems. But you have to force the
address bar visible before you can do so. But the core question still
remains... why Dolphin over Konqueror?

What do you like about Dolphin? What do you dislike? What does it do
that Konqueror doesn't?

Other than a fresh appearance, I don't personally see much benefit to
using Dolphin (yet, but I'm still giving it a chance :) over Konqueror.
I do see that you cannot split your window horizontally, which would
make more sense I think, given the default size of the icons and the
cramped area when splitting vertically. And for myself, the sidebars
are nice, but I'll likely hide them once I'm more comfortable with
Dolphin - they just take up too much space compared to the file icons.

Anyone care to offer an opinion?

disclaimer: I undertand that Konqueror's code base is getting bloated
due to all the bells and whistles. I also understand the enormous
undertaking the Dolphin developers have taken on and largely succeeded
at. But I see this argument being akin to "do you like the black model,
or the grey model" - very little differences.

disclaimer 2: I have adjusted the default icon sizes via the settings
for Dolphin. So in terms of screen realestate, it is a little more
useful for me now.
