Odd... turns out the w32codecs package wasn't installed afterall. 
Thought I got that in there last week...  But I'm still getting the same 
results for my image... sound but messed up image.

I'll see what happens after I restart some services.

but I'm not really expecting to hear anything in the video that the 
article didn't cover...
