Yeah, but last month I got a Compaq Presario SR5250NX from Best Buy with 1 GB RAM and 320 GB hard drive for $349. There is an Intel video chip (GMA950) on the motherboard, which, with the Linux open driver, supports Compiz without buggering around with proprietary NVidia or ATI drivers. Worked fully for just about every distro I tried 'out of the box', including sound and Internet connection. MEPIS and PCLinuxOS were exceptions. I can no longer remember what failed. Ubuntu, Mandriva, SuSE, Freespire were A-OK and all sit in their own partitions on the hard drive to play with as I see fit. Seems a far better deal to me as long as you're prepared to install your own distro(s). And it's got Vista in sda1. Gary
