I have keep quiet about the elections as I am in a quandary as whether to run again or not. While I am still motivated to play a major role in LinuxFest / COSSFest as well as reshaping InstallFest, I am finding the task of ensuring that we have monthly speakers a major distraction in what I want to accomplish on the not-for-profit side.
While I don't have a problem standing up and making a fool of myself, the task would be significantly easier if I had a bit more technical skills or having a close knit team willing to spend a few hours to work on the odd presentation. I guess what I am saying is that I don't need to be on the executive to accomplish what I want. On the other hand, I was hoping to leave CLUG in a better position than it currently is and would relish working closer with an active executive group. In other words, the position is open and I may reconsider depending on circumstances. My non-CLUG life is starting to get very busy.
