On behalf of the participants, I would like to extend thanks to Mark Carlson for putting together the Small Board Computer Workshop today. We start at 10 (everyone except for me as I was fashionably late) and went to 5pm. There was an announcement at the last CLUG meeting but it was not published on the website as there was considerable lead time and commitment to attend including the purchase of the SBC hardware.
Mark was modest when he said there was only material for about an hour or so. Though the material could be easily conveyed in that short period, Mark must have spent at least 10 times that amount to time putting together the workshop. It is his efforts that enable the workshop appear both lucid and simplistic, but a lot of hard work went breaking new ground and being able to tell us what works and what does as well as what has not been tried. I am sure that all the participants thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and have benefited from guidance in avoiding various pitfalls. The workshop was a great introduction to SBC, even better than what I had when i went to school. On behalf of Andrew, Gustin, John, Norm, Robert, Shawn and myself - Thanks for taking the time to prepare for the workshop as well as researching, co-ordinating and ordering the cards and in some cases paying for the order even before we got the funds to you. -- Regards, Kin W _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
